I’m just disgusted by the way that President Obama has represented himself and the United States while at the G-20 summit. Between bowing to the King of Saudi Arabia, failing to win any support from NATO in Afghanistan (despite his enormous personal magnetism), and giving the Queen of Great Britain an iPod, Obama has not only failed to accomplish critical goals concerning the Middle East and national security, but he has also made a fool of himself and lowered the prestige of the Office of the President. He has also forever destroyed the notion that Europe opposed so many of our policies over the last eight years solely because they didn’t like George W. Bush. Obama has discovered that there are crucial political and philosophical differences between the United States and Europe, but rather than stick to our principles and try to help our allies see our side of the argument, he did what he is best at: he caved.
